A flavor like apple compote, a sweetness reminiscent of brown sugar syrup, and a silky mouthfeel. This is one of the lots purchased directly at the origin. This lot, in particular, was of such high quality that it was one of the coffees I immediately decided to purchase. It is incredibly sweet."Milenio" is a hybrid variety created by crossing the Rume Sudan and Sachimor varieties, which are indigenous to Ethiopia. It is an excellent variety that is not only resistant to coffee leaf rust but also has high cup quality.Hermanos Barso is a small, family-run mill (processing plant) established in 2017. It is located in the Tarrazú area, which can be said to have the best terroir in Costa Rica. They started coffee production 20 years ago, and initially, they supplied cherries to nearby agricultural cooperatives. However, seeing neighboring farmers and friends successively establish their own mills (processing plants), and buyers from consumer countries flocking to purchase high-quality coffee at high prices, they decided to establish their own micro-mill. They wanted to improve quality and add value through their own efforts. When they first started, they didn't even have electricity, so they couldn't produce coffee of a quality that could be immediately sold, both technically and in terms of equipment. However, they honestly tackled each challenge and improved quality, steadily gaining the trust of many buyers. In addition to the basic Catuai variety, they are also cultivating Milenio (H10) and new varieties.-------------------------------------------------------------
