La Bugambilia is a farm located in the Santa Rosa region of southern Guatemala.
The Santa Rosa region, where the farm is located, had not received much attention until recently. However, with its microclimate and fertile volcanic soil, it is now gaining recognition. In the 2022 Cup of Excellence, five lots of coffee from Santa Rosa won awards, the first time in the competition's history.

La Bugambilia has been winning awards at the COE almost every year recently, demonstrating its high level of production technology. In addition to the Pacas variety in this lot, they produce various specialty coffee varieties such as Pacamara, Yellow Bourbon, Pache, and Geisha. One of their main goals is to conserve biodiversity and protect forests and soil. 18 hectares of their farmland are used for agroforestry coffee cultivation, and they also have a forest reserve with native trees such as oak, pine, and cypress.

"Pacas" is a mutation of the Bourbon variety discovered in El Salvador. It is a dwarf variety, meaning the trees are smaller.
Its small size allows for dense planting, which has led to increased yields.
It is the parent variety of the famous hybrid "Pacamara," which is known for its excellent quality. Some producers believe that the wonderful flavor of Pacamara comes from the Pacas variety, and it is relatively widely planted in Central America.
